CPTC SNOWMOBILE RACE, BEAUSEJOUR
Every winter the town of Beausejour hosts this race which is a premiere snowmobile event in Canada. With over 100 racers coming from all over the globe and with the support of 200 volunteers, it is the longest running snowmobile race in the world.
GRIZ DAYS FESTIVAL, FERNIE
Fernie turns into a winter fun land in March, in celebration of Griz Days carnival, an over 40 year old winter tradition of the town. From skiing events to festive dancing gala to traditional breakfast feasts, the festival is celebrated with lots of flairs. The carnival is a tribute to the folklore legend Griz man who is credited for making Fernie the winter wonderland it is today.
TRAPPER'S FESTIVAL, THE PAS
Another unique winter tradition is hosted in The Pas. The festival really celebrates a major part of Northern heritage with exciting events. The celebrations include World Championship Dog Sled Race, the King and Queen Trapper events: canoe packing, wood splitting, trap setting, moose calling, bannock baking and more.
